With a wide range of affordable housing, low property taxes, top-rated schools, and a mix of
good public transportation and convenient highway access, it's easy to see why the
communities of Northeast Queens are an attractive location for families seeking suburban
living within the borders of New York City.

Our tree-lined neighborhoods, including Floral Park, Bellerose, Little Neck, and Glen Oaks,
offer a variety of recreational and cultural activities and an active Jewish community and are
close to Nassau County and only a 30-minute railroad ride from Manhattan.

Highlights of the area include

  • The Samuel Field/Bay Terrace YM & YWHA, which offers a full range of activities
for children and adults, including nursery school, child care, exercise classes, summer
camps, and the Older Adult Center, a comprehensive social, recreational, and
educational program for adults aged 60 years and over.

  • The 655-acre Alley Pond Park, with bike paths, picnic grounds, tennis center, and
    environmental center.

  • The Queens County Farm Museum, which is on the largest remaining tract of
undisturbed farmland in New York City and is the only working historical farm in the
five boroughs. The farm dates from the 1600s and is open year-round for visits and
holds a variety of special events.

The Bellerose Jewish Center is located on Union Turnpike at 254 Street. To reach the BJC
by car, exit the Grand Central Parkway or the Long Island Expressway at Little Neck
Parkway and travel south on Little Neck Parkway to Union Turnpike. Make a left and the
BJC is one block on the right. You can also exit the Cross Island Parkway at Union
Turnpike, travel east on Union Turnpike and continue until you reach 254 Street.
